AT CARLTON PARK
Set in 27 acres of historic parkland at Carlton Park, we offer a range of outdoor sports which include tennis, football, cricket, fitness and running, bowls and boules.
As well as these sports we have a unique adventure playground, together with a caravan and camping site set in 6 acres with 75 pitches widely spaced in the parkland setting.
The Club has been in existence for almost 100 years and registered as a charity in 1983. We are run on a voluntary basis with the Executive Committee overseeing the management of the grounds and caravan site, together with upkeep of the facilities. Each sporting section runs their own teams and fixtures, with representatives on the main Sports Club Executive Committee ensuring cohesion and cooperation between all sections of the club.
The caravan and camping site is crucial to Club as the income generated from the site is used to facilitate the upkeep of the land and property together with all our activities at Carlton Park.

The Club was originally founded in 1933 and moved to its present site at Carlton Park in the 1950’s when the land was kindly gifted for the benefit of the town. The club has grown significantly since that time and our club has played a key role in offering many different sports and recreation, several of which have changed with the times.
We aim to provide a friendly and welcoming club open to anyone to join, and our core sports are listed below. To find out more information about the sports sections please click on the relevant icon, and we are always looking to the future to include further popular sports that we can accommodate.
It is vital for the town and surrounding villages that our Club continues to thrive, offering sports and recreation to many local people, and the existing committee are fully aware that we are simply the current custodians of a wonderful club.
